Sybase, Inc. recently announced the first major production-ready application server with J2EE 1.3 compatibility and support for secure Web services with Sybase EAServer for the AIX and HP-UX platforms. EAServer 4.1 is an open application server that powers e-Business applications by providing uncompromising performance and secure enterprise Web services within a vendor-neutral development and deployment environment. EAServer 4.1 also includes Web Services Toolkit (including SOAP, UDDI, WSDL) and Message Bridge for Java to further speed the development of service-oriented applications. Message Bridge for Java jump-starts development with a "no-code" XML-Java solution, freeing developers to focus on business logic in Java, while Web Services Toolkit provides developers with the ability to leverage business logic in Java as a Web service.
