CyberSecurity Malaysia wins award

PETALING JAYA: National cybersecurity specialist CyberSecurity Malaysia received a regional brand excellence award last month.

It received the BrandLaureate - SMEs (small and medium scale enterprise) Chapter Awards 2008 in the Corporate Branding ICT (information and communications technology) category.

The BrandLaureate Awards, also known as the Grammy Awards for branding, recognises the best brands from the Asia-Pacific region. It covers multinational, government-linked and public-listed companies. Lt Col Husin (retired), chief executive officer of CyberSecurity Malaysia, said the agency's achievements are a success story for the industry and country.

CyberSecurity Malaysia is a one-stop reference and specialist centre for cybersecurity, under the purview of the Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry.

Its services include digital forensics, security management and best practices, cybersecurity training and professional certification. CyberSecurity Malaysia is the sole authorised certification body for ICT security products and systems in the country.
