Seminar On Bridging Gap Between Legal, Technical Aspects Of Cyber Crime Cases

KUALA LUMPUR, June 13 (Bernama)-The Attorney General's Chambers, in collaboration with CyberSecurity Malaysia, will organise AGCSM 2011 seminar entitled "Bridging Barriers: Legal and Technical of Cyber Crime Case.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) said the seminar, the first of its kind in Malaysia, would provide an avenue for both legal and technical professionals to gather and share information on their respective experiences and expertise.

"It aims to provide participants with a broader and better understanding of legal issue arising for investigation and prosecution of cyber crime cases.

"They will discuss the technical aspects such as real-time evidence gathering and computer forensics because cyber-related legal issues are tied up closely with the technical issues.

"Finally, they will discuss the possibilities in bridging the gap between legal and technical aspects in cyber crime cases," it said.

The seminar will be held from July 5-7, 2011 at Dewan Sri Endon, Puspanitari, Putrajaya.

CyberSecurity is an agency under MOSTI.
