(KUALA LUMPUR) - The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation - Computer Emergency Response Team (OIC-CERT) is organising for the first time an interactive Technical Workshop on cyber security incident response and handling for its members in Brunei Darussalam. This workshop will be conducted from 21 to 25 November 2011. CyberSecurity Malaysia, as the chair of this collaboration, jointly organizes the 5 days workshop together with Brunei Darussalam Computer Emergency Response Team (BruCERT) of ITPSS Pvt. Ltd. This event is co sponsored by the Islamic Development Bank (IDB).

The Information Security Management System In Cybersecurity Malaysia Re-Certified As Compliant With ISO/IEC 27001 Requirements
(KUALA LUMPUR) - CyberSecurity Malaysia, the national cyber security specialist agency under the Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation (MOSTI), announced that it has successfully achieved a full ISMS re-certification on 29 September 2011. It means that the whole organisation continues to comply with the ISO/IEC 27001:2005 standard in Information Security Management System (ISMS). CyberSecurity Malaysia established its ISMS in 2007 and has since obtained organization-wide ISO/IEC 27001:2005 certification.

(KUALA LUMPUR) - CyberSecurity Malaysia, the national cyber security specialist centre under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) is proud to announce that six (6) of its employees have been selected as honorees of the Asia-Pacific Information Security Leadership Achievements (ISLA) 2011 awarded by the (ISC)2 and its Asian Advisory Board. Among the six honorees, Encik Mohd Zabri Adil Talib, EnCE, GCFA, Head of Digital Forensics Department at CyberSecurity Malaysia received the prestigious 'Showcased Honoree' recognition for the category of Managerial Professional for Information Security Project(s) Category.

CyberSecurity Malaysia, the National CyberSecurity Specialist Centre and an agency under the purview of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) will once again lead the celebration of Safer Internet Day (SID) in the month of February 2011.
