Visit by Honorable Dr Hamed Salim Al-Rahwi Information Technology Authority (ITA) Board Member and Delegates from Oman
 

The delegates were received by the Chairman of CyberSecurity Malaysia YABhg. General Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Panglima Mohd Azumi Mohamed (Retired) and other top management officials of CyberSecurity Malaysia. This visit was to discuss on the types of cooperation between Information Technology Authority (ITA), Oman and CyberSecurity Malaysia in the field of cyber security. A total of 10 delegates from Oman participated in this visit. They were given a briefing on the role, function and operations of CyberSecurity Malaysia and were brought to visit Digital Forensic and MyCERT lab facilities. This visit is also seen as an endorsement by a foreign organization on CyberSecurity Malaysia’s ability to implement programs on cyber security. This visit succeeded in forming a close cooperation in the areas of cyber security between both Nations.

CyberSecurity Malaysia’s Visit to Ministry of Foreign Affairs
 

CyberSecurity Malaysia made an honorary visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia as part of a series of visits planned for Ministries and Government Agencies to establish closer collaboration in the field of cyber security. The delegates were received by Ministry’s officials and YBhg. Dato’ Rohana Ramli, Deputy Secretary General, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, chaired the discussions during the visit. Four officials from CyberSecurity Malaysia participated in this visit, lead by Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Zahri Yunos. During the visit, CyberSecurity Malaysia gave a presentation on the function and role of CyberSecurity Malaysia and an explanation on all the services implemented. Dr. Solahuddin Shamsuddin, Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Sazali Sukardi, Vice President, Strategic Policy Research and Puan Yati Mohammad from Government Engagement Department as the Secretariat were also present during the visit.

Seminar Business Online… New Opportunities
 

Seminar initiated by CyberSecurity Malaysia this time was organised in cooperation with SME Corp Malaysia Pulau Pinang and MITI Pulau Pinang. This seminar was conducted to provide exposure and knowledge on the importance of cyber security as well as to increase the confidence in the business potential of e-commerce amongst small and medium industry entrepreneurs.

This seminar also introduced one of CyberSecurity Malaysia’s services, Malaysia Trustmark and information on the role and function of Malaysia Trustmark was shared amongst the seminar participants.

Total of 110 participants consisting of government officials and entrepreneurs attended this seminar. CyberSecurity Malaysia also took this opportunity to explain the agenciy’s functions in order to strengthen and improve CyberSecurity Malaysia’s branding.

Visit by Students from UiTM, Shah Alam
 

The visit by 40 Bachelor of Office Systems, UiTM Shah Alam students was to take a closer look at the lab facilities and services provided by CyberSecurity Malaysia in the field of cyber security. The visitors were given an explanation on duties and roles of the two main services of CyberSecurity Malaysia – Digital Forensic and MyCERT. During the visit, the participants had the opportunity for a closer look at digital forensic labs and to observe MyCERT operations. This visit exposed the students to the role of CyberSecurity and the employment opportunities in the field of cyber security in Malaysia.
