CyberSAFE in Schools Workshop for Bestari Coordination Teachers (CyberSAFE in Schools Powered by DiGi Telecommunication), Teachers Activity Centre Sibu, Sarawak |

This two days workshop is the second phase of cyber security program with DiGi Telecommunications where two of Cyber Security Malaysia’s Outreach Department officers Ramona Susanty Abdul Hamid and Aaron Mokhtar were the facilitators.
Bestari Coordination Teachers who participated in this workshop will in return organize a similar workshop with at least 100 students from their respective schools utilizing materials provided by CyberSecurity Malaysia.
The objective of this workshop is to highlight cyber security issues that effect individuals especially school children. This program also exposed the teachers to the potential danger and risks of revealing too much of personal information on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Blogs
As many as 21 teachers participated in this workshop which was held at Zone Sibu. The organizations involved include Education Technology Division of Ministry of Education Malaysia and DiGi Telecommunication Malaysia
Workshops that were conducted with modules in English include:

This visit involving 38 students of PUSTEKMA aimed at providing exposure in terms of cyber security as well as to observe the infrastructure and cyber security facilities available at CyberSecurity Malaysia.
During this visit, the participants were given an explanation on the functions of Digital Forensic Department and MyCERT Department as well as on the role of CyberSecurity Malaysia. As a result of this visit, the students obtained a better understanding of the cyber security incidents handled by CyberSecurity Malaysia through Digital Forensic Department and MyCERT Department.

Meeting and Visit by Social Media Monitoring Technical Committee Volume 3 2013 at CyberSecurity Malaysia |

This program was in line with the decision by the Central Committee on Social Media Monitoring for Public Officers that took place on 24th July 2013 to form a Technical Committee on Social Media Monitoring in Malaysia
This was part of the efforts to strengthen the expertise and provide exposure to the young officers in the Technical Committee on Social Media Monitoring. Additionally, further discussions were held on the training programs that were to be made available.
As many as 38 members of the committee attended this meeting to listen to explanations on function and role of CyberSecurity Malaysia as well as a visit to various CyberSecurity Malaysia labs. Among the organizations involved are:
