Now, we are in the second quarter and of course many programs and initiatives which were initially planned have been implemented in the first half of 2017.
CyberSecurity Malaysia continues to encourage the development of cyber security field by actively participating in seminars, conferences, trainings and workshops locally and internationally.
On the other hand, CyberSecurity Malaysia also won the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Prize 2017, a competition organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) under the International Cooperation category. This success was embraced through a project paper titled "Collaborative Information Sharing Model for Malware Threat Analysis: A Case Study for the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation - Computer Emergency Response Team". This award strengthens Malaysia's cyber security credibility internationally.
This was also in line with ITU announcement via the publication of the Global Cyber Security Index 2017 (Global Cyber Security Index). Malaysia ranked third among the top 10 countries as the leader in cyber security field in the world. This is a huge achievement for the country and for CyberSecurity Malaysia. Malaysia's success is the result of solid collaboration between different agencies in cyber security.
CyberSecurity Malaysia will continue to emphasize the criticality of cyber security in Malaysia. We are committed to implement proactive and strategic measures to realize Government's mission towards a developed nation in a strong digital economy environment.
