National Occupational Skills And Standards (NOSS) In Digital Forensics For First Responder Development

 

CyberSecurity Malaysia had organised a workshop on the development of employment standards in the field of Digital Forensics for First Responder (DFFR) at Marriot Hotel, Putrajaya from 8 to 9 August 2020.

The workshop objective was to determine the scope of employment in DFFR field as well as to identify the competence level of DFFR related to the employment fields based on definition set up by the Department of Skills Development (JPK).

The workshop which was organised by CyberSecurity Malaysia has been participated by various agencies from the industry as well as the public sector.

Through the workshop, CyberSecurity Malaysia has strengthened its relationship with the organizations as well as created comprehensive certification in cybersecurity field.

Global ACE Certification, Exam Review Workshop, Putrajaya

 

On 10 to 14 August 2020, CyberSecurity Malaysia has organised an examination review workshop for the ACE Global Certification training program at the Marriot Hotel Putrajaya.

This workshop was held to review the examination questions of the ACE Global Certification training program between representatives of industry, academic, government and Professional Examination Committees (PEC).

The workshop organised by CyberSecurity Malaysia was attended by 22 Government agencies as well as Institutes of Higher Learning.

Through this workshop, CyberSecurity Malaysia has been able to improve the quality of exam questions for each ACE Global Certification training program.

“National Cyber Security Awareness Module Pilot Workshop (MKKSN) To Main Coaches (JU), Genting Highland, Putrajaya, Tawau, Melaka, Kuching, Dan Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan

 

CyberSecurity Malaysia in collaboration with the Education Resources and Technology Division (BSTP), Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE) has organized the National Cyber Security Awareness Module (MKKSN) Pilot Workshop from 10 until 28 August 2020 to the Head Coaches (JU). The Head Coaches consist of teachers from three states namely Pahang, Sabah, Melaka, Sarawak and also the Federal Territory of Labuan.

This workshop focuses on JU to enable them to study and evaluate the content as well as identify improvements on technical aspect of MKKSN. The workshop is to ensure the smoothness and readiness of the MKKSN platform to be used during the pilot implementation to the students.

The workshop at these six different locations has involved a total of 220 teachers and JUs from 215 schools as follows:

  • 11 & 12 August 2020 - Tawau (Sabah)
  • 11 & 12 August 2020 - Putrajaya (Selangor, WP Putrajaya & N. Sembilan)
  • 18 & 19 August 2020 - Kuching (Sarawak - Online Webinar)
  • 18 & 19 August 2020 - Genting (WP KL & Pahang)
  • 25 & 26 August 2020 - Labuan (WP Labuan)
  • 26 & 27 August 2020 - Melaka (Melaka & Johor)

From the workshop, CyberSecurity Malaysia managed to refine the module contents, resolved technical problems as well as increase the level of cyber security awareness among students and school teachers throughout Malaysia

A Day With Adjunct Professor Of The Faculty Of Computer Science And Information Technology, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), Johor

 

On 17 August 2020, CyberSecurity Malaysia was invited to attend the One-Day Program with the Adjunct Professor of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), Johor.

The program which was organised by the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FSKTM), UTHM discussed cooperation between FSKTM and CyberSecurity Malaysia, in addition to give lecture on cyber security to FSKTM staff.

As FSKTM Adjunct Professor UTHM, Ts. Dr. Zahri Yunos, Chief Operating Officer, CyberSecurity Malaysia was invited to give a lecture entitled "The Reality of Cyber Threats Today".

CyberSecurity Malaysia's participation as a speaker in this program has enhanced the image and reputation of CyberSecurity Malaysia in the education sector, thus creating opportunities for cooperation between CyberSecurity Malaysia and UTHM.

Android Mobile Malware Case Study During COVID19 Lockdown Online Training

 

On 19 August 2020, CyberSecurity Malaysia participated in the online training program entitled "Android Mobile Malware Case Study During COVID19 Lockdown" through the Zoom application.

The Asia Pacific CERT (APCERT) and Pacific Cybersecurity Operational Network (PaCSON) training program was a platform to assist the PaCSON community by sharing basic knowledge related to cyber security through several online training sessions.

Muhammad Zuhair in Abd Rahman, Kamarul Baharin Bin Khalid and Muhammad Azizi Bin Jamadi, the Computer Emergency Response Team (MyCERT) Analyst represented CyberSecurity Malaysia as a panel member and gave a presentation entitled "Android Mobile Malware Case Study During COVID19 Lockdown".

CyberSecurity Malaysia's participation in this online training program has successfully strengthened its relationships and collaboration with APCERT and PaCSON as well as enhanced the development of expertise and resources in the field of malware analysis.

Digital Forensics For First Responder (DFFR) Occupational Standard Development Document Verification Workshop And Cyber Security Industry Occupational Framework Development, Putrajaya

 

CyberSecurity Malaysia had organised a Digital Forensics for First Responder (DFFR) Employment Standard Document Development and Occupational Framework Development in the cyber security industry from 22 to 23 August 2020 at the Marriot Hotel Putrajaya.

The workshop was held was to validate the draft of DFFR employment standard development document (NOSS DFFR) and at the same time to also developed the Occupational Framework which includes all positions involved in the cybersecurity industry.

21 expert panels comprising enforcement agencies, industry, public and private institutes of higher learning attended the workshop.

Through this workshop, CyberSecurity Malaysia in collaboration with Department of Skills Development, implements NOSS DFFR and Occupational Framework in the field of cybersecurity.

Global ACE Certification: DFFR Item Construction Workshop, Putrajaya

 

CyberSecurity Malaysia has organised a workshop on Global ACE Certification: Digital Forensics for First Responder (DFFR) Item Construction from 24 to 26 August 2020 at the Marriot Hotel Putrajaya.

This workshop was held for the purpose of developing examination papers and scoring schemes for DFFR professional accreditation programs.

This workshop organised by CyberSecurity Malaysia was attended by organizations from the industry and higher learning institutions.

Through this workshop, CyberSecurity Malaysia has been able to develop exam questions based on the ISO/IEC 17024 standard in preparation for the DFFR professional accreditation program.

Virtual Cloud Security Day, Online Webinar

 

On 25 August 2020, CyberSecurity Malaysia participated in a virtual seminar entitled "Virtual Cloud Security Day" through Microsoft Teams application.

This virtual seminar organised by Microsoft Malaysia is a platform to discuss cybersecurity issues to help protecting business operations as well as empower customers with knowledge in the field of information security.

Ts. Dr. Solahuddin Shamsuddin, Chief Technology Officer represented CyberSecurity Malaysia and did a presentation entitled "Overview of Cybersecurity Landscape in Malaysia."

CyberSecurity Malaysia's participation in this virtual seminar has strengthened the cooperation with Microsoft Malaysia and the industry in general.
