We meet again in CyberNEWS First Edition year 2022.

After two years facing the COVID -19 pandemic our country finally moving towards the endemic phase. Now Keluarga Malaysia can carry out daily activities in new norms. All sectors of services, education and economy open in stages, and some are allowed to operate 24 hours now.

CyberSecurity Malaysia kicked off the first quarter of 2022 by signing a Memorandum of Understanding with EclectiqIQ and Syntx Sdn. Bhd. This collaboration is a measure to protect and strengthen cyber security within National Critical Information Infrastructure (CNII) in Malaysia.

CyberSecurity Malaysia also successfully spearheaded the celebration of Safer Internet Day or SID 2022 - Malaysian Edition, supported by the Prime Minister, Minister of Communications and Multimedia (MenKOMM) and Deputy Minister of Communications and Multimedia. This national level campaign is an effort to promote self -control and accountability among individual and community to form a digital community who are prosperous yet progressive in Keluarga Malaysia.

As part of SID 2022 initiative, CyberSecurity Malaysia collaborated with cybersecurity agencies from three ASEAN countries, namely Brunei Darussalam, Singapore, and Republic of Indonesia has successfully organised KITA SIBER Serumpun Webinar.

The webinar is a platform to exchange information on cyber security advancement as well as discuss regional countries’ approaches to address cyber threats in their respective countries.

CyberSecurity Malaysia Collaboration Program (CCP) conducted Cyber ​​Security Industry Dialogue, Cyber ​​Security for Smart Cities webinar as an initiative to ensure Malaysia’s cyber security industry remain vibrant and competitive. In addition, CyberSecurity Malaysia also welcomed visits from the Sabah state government representatives and agencies as well as the Malaysian Malay Chamber of Commerce.

CyberSecurity Malaysia will remain proactive as a recognised leader in cybersecurity in Malaysia and in the international arena by participating in international conferences such as the World Police Summit Conference and INTERPOL Young Global Police Leaders Program (YGPL).

Although the country is progressing towards the endemic phase, I would like to remind Keluarga Malaysia to continue practicing the SOPs, adopt new norms and take care of their health.
