Welcome to the second edition of CyberNEWS 2022. Once again, CyberSecurity Malaysia is glad to share its journey in various programs and events throughout the second quarter of 2022.

As a center for cybersecurity technical experts, CyberSecurity Malaysia remains committed to sustaining cyber security initiatives for the well-being of Keluarga Malaysia.

In this second quarter, CyberSecurity Malaysia participated in several events including Jelajah Aspirasi Keluarga Malaysia (JAKM), RIUH, Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair, Protection Security Convention, CyberSecurity Malaysia Career Day 2022 and the Malaysian Teacher Festival 2022 in conjunction with the celebration of National Teacher's Day 2022.

In these programmes, CyberSecurity Malaysia foster public awareness on the importance of cybersecurity through several activities such as Cyber ​​Quest, ‘Cyber ​​Spontan’ and exhibition to promote data recovery services.

In this second quarter, CyberSecurity Malaysia also signed several memorandums of understanding with organisations such as Pahang Skills Development Centre, Solaris Symphony Sdn Bhd, the Malaysian Road Safety Research Institute (MIROS) and the Malaysian Broadcasting Department in various fields related to the development of cyber security professionals, forensic science vehicles, and implementation of policies, procedures and Information Security System Management (ISMS) as well as Personal Information Security System Management (PIMS).

Internationally, CyberSecurity Malaysia participated in the Cryptocurrency Investigation and Forensics Work Training program in Canberra and Melbourne, Australia and attended the Common Criteria Recognition Development Board - Executive Subcommittee (CCDB/ES) Meeting - Q2/2022.

CyberSecurity Malaysia also conducted briefing sessions and seminars for Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (SMEs) under the Cyber ​​Security Empowerment Incentive Program (PGPKS) initiative and the Pre -Launch of the CyberSAFETM 2022 National ICT Discourse Competition (NICTSeD 2022), CyberSecurity Malaysia's annual event.

CyberSecurity Malaysia welcomed YB Datuk Seri Rina binti Mohd Harun, Minister of Women, Family and Community Development and the delegates from the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM) and they learned the organisation’s background and its responsibilities in the development of cyber security in the country, before visiting digital forensic and MyCERT laboratories.

CyberSecurity Malaysia is committed to remain active in the organisation of various cyber security programs and initiatives to increase cyber security awareness and the development of professional experts to further strengthen Malaysia’s cyber security preparedness.
