MA-1236.012025: MyCERT Advisory - Critical Vulnerability in Apache Wicket


1.0 Introduction
Recently, Apache has released security updates to a critical vulnerability in Apache Wicket, a widely used Java based web application framework.

2.0 Impact
This vulnerability allows attackers exploited to launch denial-of-service (DoS) attacks on affected web applications.

3.0 Affected Products

  • Wicket 7.0.0 through 7.18.*
  • Wicket 8.0.0-M1 through 8.16*
  • Wicket 9.0.0-M1 through 9.18.*
  • Wicket 10.0.0-M1 through 10.2.*

4.0 Recommendations
CyberSecurity Malaysia urges users and organisations to review the Apache Security Bulletin, follow the Mitigation steps and apply the necessary updates.
