1.0 Introduction
Recently, Red Hat has released security updates to address multiple vulnerabilities in the Linux kernel for Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
2.0 Impact
Successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities may allow a remote attacker to trigger denial of service, elevation of privilege, security restriction bypass, sensitive information disclosure, remote code execution, data manipulation and spoofing on the targeted system. This may lead to execution of arbitrary code, unauthorised access to sensitive information and system compromise. The bulletin’s CVE list includes CVE-2026-53266, which HKCERT reports as exploited in the wild in its Ubuntu kernel bulletin (see the Ubuntu kernel advisory).
3.0 Affected Products
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8, 9 and 10 (x86_64, ARM 64, IBM z Systems, Power little endian)
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux for Real Time 8 and for Real Time for NFV 8
