1.0 Introduction
Recently, Apple has released security updates to address a critical vulnerability (CVE-2025-24118) in Apple’s macOS kernel (XNU).
2.0 Impact
A cyber threat actor could exploit some of these vulnerabilities to escalate privileges, corrupt memory, and potentially execute code with kernel-level permissions.
3.0 Affected Products
- macOS Sonoma versions prior to 14.7.3
- macOS Squoia versions prior to 15.3
- iPadOS versions prior to 17.7.4
