1.0 Introduction
Recently, Mozilla has released security updates to address multiple vulnerabilities in Firefox, and Firefox ESR.
2.0 Impact
Successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities may allow a remote attacker to compromise a vulnerable system when a user visits a specially crafted web page. Most of the high-rated flaws are memory-safety issues such as use-after-free, and they also include browser sandbox escapes and privilege escalation. Other issues include information disclosure, security mitigation bypass, spoofing and denial of service. This may lead to execution of arbitrary code, unauthorised access to sensitive information and system compromise.
3.0 Affected Products
- Mozilla Firefox, versions earlier than 157
- Mozilla Firefox ESR 153, versions earlier than 153.4
- Mozilla Firefox ESR 140, versions earlier than 140.17
