1.0 Introduction
Recently, Veeam has released security advisories that address critical vulnerability in Veeam Updater used in several Veeam Backup & Replication appliances tracked as CVE-2025-23114.
2.0 Impact
This vulnerability allows an attacker to utilize a Man-in-the-Middle attack to execute arbitrary code on the affected appliance server with root-level permission.

- Veeam Backup for Nutanix AHV - Version 5.0 and 5.1
- Veeam Backup for AWS - Version 6a and 7

- Veeam Backup for Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager and Red Hat Virtualization – Version 3, 4.0 and 4.1
