MA-1180.102024: MyCERT Advisory - Red Hat - Vulnerability in NetworkManager-libreswan


1.0 Introduction
Recently, Red Hat Enterprise released security updates for a high-severity vulnerability in the libreswan client plugin for NetworkManager.

2.0 Impact
This vulnerability could potentially allow attacker to gain root privileges access on Hat Enterprise Linux systems and execute arbitrary code.

3.0 Affected Products

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux version prior to 9.0 Update Services for SAP Solutions 
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux version prior to 7.7 Advance Update Support

4.0 Recommendations
