Pleasure to meet you again on this second edition of CyberNEWS for 2018. Once again, CyberSecurity Malaysia will share with you, our involvement in various programs and events over the three months of April, May and June.

CyberSecurity Malaysia kicked off the second quarter by participating in the "National Science Week 2018" organized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (currently known as the Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change -MESTECC ). This program is aimed at raising public awareness on the importance of Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) particularly in the development of human capital, recognizing the contributions of scientists, academics and individuals in promoting science and cultivating STI in the lives of Malaysians.

CyberSecurity Malaysia is also involved in the "Zero Bully Symposium", an effort to address cyber bullying. According to the CyberSAFE Program, CyberSecurity Malaysia is constantly looking for opportunities to embrace the importance of cyber security as well as issues related to cyber threats, thus, to inculcate the ethics of using the Internet and technology positively and safely.

Internationally, CyberSecurity Malaysia actively involved in various conferences. Among them are, the World Trustmark Alliance Annual Meeting in China, the FIRST Colloquium Technical Symposium in Amsterdam, the RSA Conference in the United States, the OpenGov Leadership Forum in the Philippines, the Digital and Cyber Security Conference in Kazakhstan, the Conference International Information and Network Technology in Japan, Asian Banker Summit in China, International Information Management Conference in the United Kingdom, 30th FIRST Annual Conference in Kuala Lumpur, International Information Security Technology Forum in Russia, Digital Forensic Specialist Conference in the United Kingdom and The 17th Cyber Warfare and Security Conference in Norway. CyberSecurity Malaysia was invited by these organizers to share its expertise, knowledge and experience through presentations and discussions. It is a global recognition of cyber security in CyberSecurity Malaysia.

CyberSecurity Malaysia also was directly involved in various activities this time. With this commitment, it boosted our enthusiasm to continue to sustain and uphold the cyber security industry which is now a priority throughout the world.
