THE 12TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE ORGANIZATION OF ISLAMIC COOPERATION - COMPUTER EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM (OIC-CERT), CYBERJAYA

 

On 23 - 25 November 2020, CyberSecurity Malaysia as the Permanent Secretariat of OIC-CERT organised the 12th Annual Conference of OIC-CERT 2020 virtually in Cyberjaya.

The conference themed "Cyber Security Strategies & Practices During COVID-19 Crisis" aimed to provide a platform for member countries to identify strategies and challenges in cyber security field.

A total of 16 speakers from cyber security industry experts from 12 countries were involved in the conference. The event started with a welcome remarks by Eng. Bader Al-Salehi, Chairman of the OIC-CERT / Director General of Oman National CERT whilst the Honourable Datuk Zahidi bin Zainul Abidin, Deputy Minister of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia officiated the conference.

On the second day of the conference, the opening remarks was delivered by Dr. Adil Rajput, Director of Information Technology, Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia whilst General Tan Sri Dato' Seri Panglima Mohd Azumi bin Mohamed (Retired), Chairman of the Board of Directors, CyberSecurity Malaysia gave a keynote address. Amongst the speakers were Dato' Ts. Dr Haji Amirudin Abdul Wahab from CyberSecurity Malaysia, Abdul Hakeem Ajijola from CS2, Nigeria, Jacomo Piccolini from Team Cymru and Aloysius Cheang from Huawei.

This annual conference highlighted Malaysia’s contributions and roles in cyber security field at the international level and further strengthened the cooperation with OIC as well as Asia Pacific member countries.

GLOBAL ACE CERTIFICATION WEBINAR: “CERTIFYING CYBER SECURITY PROFESSIONALS TOWARDS THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION 4.0”, CYBERJAYA

 

On 25 November 2020, CyberSecurity Malaysia hosted the Global ACE Certification Seminar themed, "Certifying Cyber Security Professionals Towards the Industrial Revolution 4.0".

This virtual seminar is one of the Satellite Events for the 12th Annual Conference of the Computer Emergency Response Team - Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC-CERT) 2020 which serves as a platform to understand the needs of cyber security professionals towards the fourth industrial revolution.

The virtual seminar was moderated by Lt Col Mustafa Ahmad, Senior Vice President of Outreach and Capacity Building Division together with panellists consist of Ts. Dr. Zahri Yunos, Chief Operating Officer of CyberSecurity Malaysia, Raj Kumar Kunhiraman, Chief Executive Officer of Cyber Intelligence and Prof. Ts. Dr Rabiah binti Ahmad from Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka. The online seminar was broadcasted live through YouTube platform.

Through this seminar, CyberSecurity Malaysia exposed the participants to the fourth industrial revolution and the Global ACE Certification.

INFORMATION CEREMONY AND REFRESHER COURSE FOR CYBER SECURITY PENETRATION TESTING & ASSESSMENT ADVANCED DIPLOMA

 

On 26 and 27 October 2020, CyberSecurity Malaysia in collaboration with the Department of Skills Development, organised a virtual informative session and refresher course for the Advanced Diploma in Cyber Security Penetration Testing & Assessment.

The event was held online to create awareness and provide information about Malaysian Advanced Skills Diploma (DLKM) and field of Cyber Security Penetration Testing and Assessment.

Zafreida Zahrullayali, Senior Executive of the Cyber Security Professional Development Department, represented CyberSecurity Malaysia and presented on "Modular Professional Certification for the Advanced Diploma in Cyber Security Penetration Testing & Assessment".

Through this event, CyberSecurity Malaysia was able to promote the Malaysian Advanced Skills Diploma (DLKM) programs and the field of Cyber Security Penetration Testing and Assessment as well as exposure to Global ACE Certification security trainings.
