‘TEMU MINDA’ PROGRAM ON TV1 IN CONJUNCTION WITH SAFER INTERNET DAY (SID) 2021

 

On 3rd February 2021, CyberSecurity Malaysia participated in TV1's 'Temu Minda' program, RTM entitled 'Cyber Threat - Is Malaysia Ready?'. This title was chosen in conjunction with the celebration of Safer Internet Day (SID) 2021 that is celebrated globally on February 9, 2021.

‘Temu Minda’ program was hosted by the Honorable Minister of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia (KKMM), Dato’ Saifuddin Abdullah with other two guests, Dr. Kavitha Muthy, Chief Strategy Officer, Intellize Tech Services and Philip Ling, Head of Sustainability Division, Digi Telecommunications to discuss issues related to cyber threats.

Branden Carl Murray, a Form 5 student from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sultan Abu Bakar, Kuantan, Pahang who is the Best Presenter of the 2019 National ICT Security Discourse Competition and Dato' Ts. Dr. Haji Amirudin Abdul Wahab, Chief Executive Officer, CyberSecurity Malaysia also made a special appearance on the show.

In this program, the panellists discussed issues related to cyber threats such as social media and personal data hacking as well as various initiatives and security measures implemented by the authority.

This 30-minute program was broadcasted live on KKMM’s Facebook page, TV1 and Bernama TV.

CYBER ETHICS TALK “TERLAJAK PERAHU BOLEH DIUNDUR, TERLAJAK POSTING'….. KAWALAN KENDIRI JADI PEGANGAN”

 

On 27th February 2021, CyberSecurity Malaysia organised Bicara Etika Siber webinar entitled “Terlajak Perahu Boleh Diundur, Terlajak Posting”… Kawalan Kendiri Jadi Pegangan” through CyberSecurity Malaysia's YouTube Live platform.

This online webinar was conducted to spread awareness on cyber security in conjunction with Safer Internet Day (SID) 2021 Malaysia Edition.

Lt Col Mustaffa bin Ahmad (Retired) Senior Vice President, Outreach & Capacity Building Division represented CyberSecurity Malaysia as the forum’s moderator. Among the panellists were Puan Maznah binti Abu Bakar, Director of the Technology and Education Resources Division (BSTP), Ministry of Education Malaysia; Associate Prof. Dr. Suzaily Wahab, Consultant Psychiatrist, Tuanku Mukhriz Chancellor's Hospital (HCTM) UKM; Encik Sirajuddin Jalil, President of the Malaysian Cyber Consumer Association and also Datin PH Wong, the Project Director of the Childline Foundation.
