CyberSecurity Malaysia has a team that shortlists programs and events to be supported; with emphasis on diversity of programs to be organized and participated by CyberSecurity Malaysia, whether in technical fields such as courses, seminars, workshops, activities related to cyber security awareness or even working visit.
These activities open up opportunities to introduce the various services offered by CyberSecurity Malaysia.
As a result of these activities and continuous engagement, CyberSecurity Malaysia received regional recognition and was invited to the seminar on Cyber Security and Desktop Exercise organized by Thailand's Ministry of Defense, which will be held in November 2015.
In addition, CyberSecurity Malaysia was also invited to deliver the keynote address and presentations at various programs organized by international organizations both within and outside the country. This includes the organization of Technical Training program Cybersecurity Among ASEAN countries, held under the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and supported by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) and the National Security Council (NSC).
As a cyber security technical experts in the country, CyberSecurity Malaysia is very committed and has taken the initiative to hold two preparatory workshops to enhance the understanding and actions that need to be proactive in confronting and dealing with cyber attacks. This follows from the existence of the threat of cyber attacks by a group of hackers in August 2015.
In September 2015, CyberSecurity Malaysia organized its flagship event, the annual Cyber Security Malaysia - Awards, Conference and Exhibition (CSM-ACE) 2015. This is the largest event of CyberSecurity Malaysia when CSM-ACE 2015 also hosted two international conferences alongside the Asia Pacific Conference on Computer Emergency Response Team (APCERT) and Organization of The Islamic Conference Cooperation - Computer Emergency Response Team (OIC-CERT). The combination of these three events has made CSM-ACE 2015 as an international event that has attracted the attention of cyber security community worldwide.
Hopefully, with the active involvement of CyberSecurity Malaysia in the various programs, as mentioned, it will be able to maintain CyberSecurity Malaysia as a leading cyber security industry in Malaysia and other Southeast Asian region.
