On 5 to 12 April 2019 CyberSecurity Malaysia attended IPQUORUM forum in Kaliningrad, Russia.
The organizer, Russian Association IPChain organize this forum to discuss intellectual property aspect in various economic sectors in Russia.
Wan Zulhamli Wan Abdul Rahman, Head of Strategic Research and advisories represented CyberSecurity Malaysia and became a panellist in a dialogue session attended by leading global experts.
CyberSecurity involvement Malaysia in this forum spells opportunity to share views, exchange opinion and discuss strategic cybersecurity approach, especially in data security aspect.
Common Criteria Recognition Arrangement (CCRA) Meetings, Rome, Italy
8 - 11 April 2019
On 8 to 11 April 2019, CyberSecurity Malaysia attended CC Executive Subcommittee / CC Development Board - Common Criteria Recognition Arrangement meetings in Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico, Rome, Italy.
This meeting was organized by Italy Common Criteria Scheme twice a year to discuss latest ISO, testing and Information Technology security certification, improvement and action as well as to choose the host for next meeting.
Wan Shafiuddin Bin Zainudin, Head of Information Security Certification Body, represented CyberSecurity Malaysia at the 4-days meeting.
CyberSecurity Malaysia participation as Common Criteria Authorising Country and diplomat shows Malaysia's commitment to contribute and strengthen certification services and identify respective nation's stand in CCRA.
2019 – 2020, Ministry of Communication And multimedia (KKMM) Cyber Security Service Requirement Projection Workshop KKMM

On 9 April 2019, CyberSecurity Malaysia participated in Ministry of Communication and Multimedia Malaysia (KKMM) "Bengkel Unjuran Keperluan Perkhidmatan Keselamatan Siber " 2019 – 2020 at the Le Meridien IOI City Mall, Putrajaya.
The organizer, Information Management Division (BPM), Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia (KKMM) organize this workshop to brief every Agency / Department under KKMM on Cyber Security Services.
Marketing Department and Cybersecurity Professional Development Department represented CyberSecurity Malaysia and briefed all Agencies / Departments under KKMM on services and training programs.
In this workshop, CyberSecurity Malaysia assist Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia to ensure every Department / Agency understands CyberSecurity Malaysia services and provide input to develop scope accuracy.
Brunei Darussalam Ministry of Transportation and Info Communication visit to CyberSecurity Malaysia

On 12 April 2019, CyberSecurity Malaysia welcomed delegates from Brunei Darussalam Ministry of Transport and National Info-communication led by The Honourable Awang Haji Mohammad Nazri bin Haji Mohammad Yusof, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transport and Infokomunikasi Brunei. CyberSecurity Malaysia Chairman Board of Directors, YABhg. General Tan Sri Dato' Seri Panglima Mohd Azumi Mohamed (Retired) and Chief Technology Officer, Ts. Dr Solahuddin Shamsuddin welcomed the delegates.
The delegates learnt current cybersecurity landscape in Malaysia, CyberSecurity Malaysia experience handling cybersecurity incidents, regulatory measures and identify opportunities to cooperate in the field of cybersecurity.
CyberSecurity Malaysia's Chief Technology Officer briefed on the role, and function of CyberSecurity Malaysia followed by a meeting to discuss opportunity for bilateral relationship between Malaysia - Brunei on ICT aspect in cybersecurity.
Visit by Brunei Darussalam Ministry of Transport and National Info-komunikasi to CyberSecurity Malaysia enhanced international cooperation, increased expertise development, and nurture bilateral relationship between Malaysia and Brunei.
OIC-CERT Board Face2face Meeting, Cyberjaya

On 22 to 24 April 2019, Organization Islamic Cooperation Computer Emergency Response Team (OIC-CERT) 02/2019 Board Meeting took place at Menara Cyber Axis, Cyberjaya.
CyberSecurity Malaysia organize this meeting to share information and discuss current cybersecurity issues through technical sessions to increase efficiency in cybersecurity administrative.
Six countries participated in this meeting to discuss membership, working group progress, plan for conference and governance framework and 11th OIC-CERT 2019 Annual Conference to be organized by Badan Siber and Sandi Negara, Indonesia.
Four OIC-CERT Board Members, Engr. Bader Al-Salehi, Dr Muhammad Salman (Indonesia), Mr Tural Mammadov (Azerbaijan) and Mr Ahmed Mohamed Helmy (Egypt) participated in Cyber Security Industry Dialog to share cybersecurity landscape in their country respectively.
Through OIC-CERT Board Meeting, CyberSecurity Malaysia consolidate and enhance international cooperation in cybersecurity field, increase expertise development opportunity and nurture cooperative bonding between CERT OIC member country.
Cyber Security Industry Dialogue 2019
23 April 2019
CyberSecurity Malaysia organized Cyber Security Industry Dialog 2019 on 23 April 2019 at Menara Cyber Axis, Cyberjaya.
YBhg Dato’s Ts. Dr Haji Amirudin Abdul Wahab, Chief Executive Officer, CyberSecurity Malaysia, officiated the dialogue ceremony. 150 industry representatives and Organization Islamic Cooperation Computer Emergency Response Team (OIC-CERT) attended this event.
In this Dialog, OIC-CERT panellist from Oman, Indonesia, Azerbaijan and Egypt shared Cyber Security Industry development landscape of their country. The panellists also discussed Product and People Certification Program for Cyber Security Industry development in the local industry.
Through Cyber Security Industry Dialog 2019, CyberSecurity Malaysia recognized issues faced by local cybersecurity industry and obtained feedback from industry to strengthen local cybersecurity industry programme.
Cybersecurity Malaysia Collaboration Programme (CCP) Launching Ceremony

On 23 April 2019, CyberSecurity Malaysia Collaboration Program (CCP) was launched and CyberSecurity Malaysia Appreciation Ceremony took place.
CyberSecurity Malaysia Collaboration Program is an approach for cooperation with cybersecurity industry in Malaysia. CCP targets organization which provides cybersecurity products and services and registered under Malaysia Business Commission (SSM).
Through CyberSecurity Malaysia Collaboration Program, collaboration partners will be benefited, such as community networking, capacity development programme, capacity development support and business opportunity and facilitation.
CyberSecurity Malaysia Collaboration Program launching ceremony Malaysia was held in conjunction with Cyber Security Industry Dialog 2019.
During the launch, CyberSecurity Malaysia also held Appreciation Ceremony to Malaysian media for their support in public information to educate and inculcate public awareness on cybersecurity issue, share best practice, tips and advice on positive Internet usage.
Week Without Wall: Uncovering the Truth Beyond Digital Imagination

On 24 April 2019, CyberSecurity Malaysia participated in “Week Without Wall: Uncovering the Truth Beyond Digital Imagination" programme in UiTM, Malacca, Jasin Campus.
The organizer, Mathematics and Computer Science Faculty of UiTM Malacca, aims to inculcate Internet of Thing (IoT) security awareness among student and staff of UiTM, Malacca, Jasin Campus.
Syamsul Syafiq bin Syamsul Kamal from Malaysia Vulnerabilities Assessment Centre (MyVAC) represented CyberSecurity Malaysia as a speaker on web security IoT application.
In this programme, CyberSecurity Malaysia shared cyber security initiatives to student and staff of UiTM, Malacca, Jasin Campus and supported the government's initiative on developing knowledgeable community in IoT Security.
