Greetings to CyberNEWS readers. This is the second edition of CyberNEWS for 2019 covering activities throughout April, May and June.

The second quarter witnessed CyberSecurity Malaysia's active involvement in cyber security programs both locally and internationally including conferences, technical training programs, forums, seminars and workshops, cyber security awareness activities and a series of visits. Of course, this involvement is to fulfil the mandate as well as to achieve the objective of being the leader in cyber security in Malaysia, thus strengthening CyberSecurity Malaysia's position and reputation as a cyber security field driver.

Amongst the programs participated were the Russian IPQUORUM 2019 Forum, the Common Criteria Recognition Arrangement (CCRA) Meeting, Italy; Computer Emergency Response Team Board Meeting - Islamic State Cooperation Organization (OIC-CERT) Number 02/2019 Meeting, Cyberjaya; Cyber Security Industry Dialogue 2019, Cyberjaya; Meeting of the 4th Digital Forensic Specialist Group, Brazil; ASEAN-Japan Cybersecurity Capacity Building Center's Training, Thailand; AUSCERT 2019 Cyber Security Conference, Australia; 3rd International Conference on Information Security (INFOFORUM), Russia; 6th European Conference on Social Media, United Kingdom; 31st Annual First Conference on Computer Security Incident Handling, Scotland and 1st Digital Forensics Workgroup Meeting, Asian Forensics Sciences Network, Beijing, China.

In May 2019, CyberSecurity Malaysia was acknowledged by the INTERPOL when the Digital Forensics Department developed a guideline titled 'INTERPOL Guidelines for Digital Forensics Laboratory'. It is to be adopted by all INTERPOL centers around the world. Meanwhile in June 2019, CyberSecurity Malaysia through the Malaysia Computer Emergency Response Team (MyCERT) won first place at the 'Capture the Flag (CTF)' competition held in Perth, Australia.

As a cyber security technical expert agency, CyberSecurity Malaysia is committed to provide quality and world-class services and to actively engage in various cyber security-related programs and activities.
