MALAYSIAN TECHNICAL COOPERATION PROGRAMME ‘CERTIFIED PENETRATION TESTER’ TECHNICAL TRAINING

 

On 21st to 30th June 2021, CyberSecurity Malaysia in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program (MTCP) conducted a technical online training entitled 'Certified Penetration Tester'.

This training aims to raise awareness and provide exposure towards participants on the importance of cyber security. In addition, participants sit for the ‘Certified Penetration Tester’ examination to obtain professional certification.

This was the first time for this training to be held online due to COVID-19 outbreak. 12 participants from 5 ASEAN and OIC-CERT member countries, Bangladesh, Brunei, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam participated in the 8-days program. Ms. Nur'amirah Mohamad, Assistant Secretary, International Cooperation and Development Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officiated the ceremony on 21st June 2021.

This program further strengthens International cooperation through a mutual platform for knowledge sharing and information exchange related to regional cybersecurity. Eventually, this leads towards quality ICT infrastructure to address cyber threat.
