CYBERTRONIUM FIRMWARE SECURITY WEBINAR - THREATS BELOW THE SURFACE IN HIGH RISK DEVICES WITH CYBERTRONIUM SDN BHD

 

On 4 August 2021, CyberSecurity Malaysia in collaboration with Cybertronium Sdn Bhd organised "Cybertronium Firmware Security Webinar - Threats Below The Surface In High Risk Devices" through ZOOM.

The webinar was attended by 70 local industry partners, aimed to gather cyber security industry players and the government sector to provide an opportunity for the industry to introduce new and existing services as well as security networking.

Mohamed Anwer Yusoff, Head of Industrial Relations and Cyber Security Cooperation Department represented CyberSecurity Malaysia as one of the panelists at the webinar.

CyberSecurity Malaysia through this program was able to strengthen cyber security ecosystem and increase the growth of local industry in cyber security field.

CYBER FORENSIC TRAINING PROGRAM TO ASIA PACIFIC UNIVERSITY (APU)

 

On 9 - 12 August 2021, CyberSecurity Malaysia organised Cyber Forensic Training Program for Asia Pacific University (APU) through ZOOM.

This training program attended by 60 lecturers and students, with the objective of further strengthening the country's cyber forensic capabilities.. The participants were divided into four segments as follow:

a. AI & Biometrics Training
b. Cryptocurrencies Forensic Training
c. Forensic Audit Training
d. Forensic Web Reconstruction Training

CyberSecurity Malaysia and Asia Pacific University collaborated to promote digital forensics to Malaysian youth, through CyberHeroes Competition and several research initiatives in facial recognition capacity.

CyberSecurity Malaysia through this program developed new knowledge in the field of Digital Forensics and promote the importance of digital forensics to students.

”TURUN PADANG” PROGRAM, THE HONOURABLE DATO 'SAIFUDDIN BIN ABDULLAH, MINISTER OF COMMUNICATIONS AND MULTIMEDIA WITH CYBERSECURITY MALAYSIA

 

POn 12 August 2021, YB Dato 'Saifuddin Bin Abdullah Minister of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia, hosted a “Turun Padang” Program with CyberSecurity Malaysia virtually through ZOOM.

This is an initiative by the Minister to get updates on the achievements and the progress of CyberSecurity Malaysia products under the SiberKASA branding which was launched on 23 March 2021 at Menara Cyber Axis.

YB Minister, KKMM delegation and media representatives were presented on CyberSecurity Malaysia products achievements and the constraints faced in promoting the products. This program was attended by 42 people including 17 local and international media representatives.

CyberSecurity Malaysia through this program was able to promote its products directly to media representatives to further expand promotion.

MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION CEREMONY SIGNING BETWEEN CYBERSECURITY MALAYSIA AND NATIONAL FINANCIAL CRIME CENTRE (NFCC)

 

On 27 August 2021, CyberSecurity Malaysia and the National Financial Crime Prevention Center (NFCC) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC).

This collaboration covers initiatives to strengthen infrastructure with high cyber resilience as well as provide training and consultancy support for CryptoCurrency services.

CyberSecurity Malaysia was represented by the Chairman of the Board, General Tan Sri Dato' Seri Panglima Mohd Azumi Mohamed (Retired) and the Chief Executive Officer, Dato' Ts. Dr. Haji Amiruddin Abdul Wahab FASc while representatives from the National Financial Crime Prevention Center are the Chairman of the Advisory Board, Tan Sri Abu Kassim bin Mohamed and the Director General of the National Financial Crime Prevention Center, Dato' Seri Mustafar Ali.

This MoC will strengthen cooperation in the field of cyber security involving financial security, where CyberSecurity Malaysia provides exclusive support services to NFCC.

CERTIFIED CYBERSECURITY AWARENESS EDUCATOR (CCASE) TRAINING PROGRAM

 

On 28 - 29 August 2021, CyberSecurity Malaysia organised the Certified Cybersecurity Awareness Educator (CCASE) Training Program through ZOOM.

This training program is supported by the Education Resources and Technology Division (BSTP), Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE) and offered to teachers throughout Malaysia. It is an initiative under the Global ACE Certification Upskilling Program by CyberSecurity Malaysia.

CCAsE is a professional training and certification program that provides essential knowledge focusing on human cyber security aspects. Teachers will be ready and able to implement effective security awareness programs for their target audience especially school students.

CyberSecurity Malaysia through this training, increased awareness in online security and good behaviour through education as well as build a community of teachers with knowledge, skills and attitudes to further promote cyber security awareness to students.
