CYBER FORENSIC TRAINING PROGRAM TO MANAGEMENT AND SCIENCE UNIVERSITY (MSU)

 

On 1 - 7 September 2021, CyberSecurity Malaysia organised a Cyber Forensic Training Program for Management and Science University (MSU) through ZOOM.

This training program aimed to empower and enhance cyber forensic capabilities to 60 participants consisting of MSU lecturers and students.

This Cyber Forensics training program is divided into four segments as follows:

a. AI & Biometrics Training
b. Cryptocurrencies Forensic Training
c. Forensic Audit Training
d. Forensic Web Reconstruction Training

This training program is part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by CyberSecurity Malaysia and Management and Science University (MSU) on 22 March 2021 that covers the areas of research and innovation, training, consultancy, as well as certification.

CyberSecurity Malaysia through this training, provided exposure on the importance of Digital Forensics to MSU students and lecturers.

VISIT BY THE HONOURABLE TAN SRI DATUK SERI PANGLIMA TPR ANNUAR HAJI MUSA MINISTER OF COMMUNICATION AND MULTIMEDIA TO CYBERSECURITY MALAYSIA

 

On 9 September 2021, the Minister of Communications and Multimedia, YB Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima TPr Annuar Haji Musa visited CyberSecurity Malaysia.

This visit aimed to introduce CyberSecurity Malaysia roles and function in implementing the development of cyber security in Malaysia, to the Minister and its delegation from Ministry Communications and Multimedia (KKMM).

During this visit, YB Minister acknowledged CyberSecurity Malaysia and visited CyberSecurity Malaysia laboratories and witnessed forensics tool demonstration at the end of the visit.

KSA DESCRIPTOR REVIEW WORKSHOP

 

On 10 September 2021, CyberSecurity Malaysia organized a “KSA Descriptor Review” Workshop through Microsoft Teams.

The workshop was organized by Cyber Security Professional Development Department and participated by experts from the academic, industry and government sectors. It was conducted to review and update the development of Cybersecurity Data Science Analyst KSA descriptor under Global ACE Certification.

CyberSecurity Malaysia through this program managed to improve quality of KSA Descriptor development according to industry’s demand.

PEMULIH SIBERKASA - CYBER SECURITY ESSENTIAL TRAINING

 

On 20 to 23 September 2021, CyberSecurity Malaysia conducted 'Cyber Security Essential' training through Zoom.

This training session is part of Pemulih SiberKASA - Cyber Security Upskilling Training Program which was developed specifically based on the National Recovery Plan (PEMULIH) under the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia (KKMM). It aimed at strengthening, retraining and improving the skills of individuals with information technology (IT) background who are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

200 participants registered and participated in this program. They are required to attend on-job training for 2.5 month in selected companies collaborated with Pemulih SiberKASA Program.

CyberSecurity Malaysia through this training was able to assist individuals affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in line with national economic development initiatives as well as increasing the number of trained knowledge workers in Malaysia.

ASIA PACIFIC COMPUTER EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM (APCERT) 2020 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

 

On 29 September 2021, Asia-Pacific Computer Emergency Response Team (APCERT) Annual General Meeting was virtually organised via Cisco Webex by Japan Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Center (JPCERT/CC).

This is an annual activity to deliberate APCERT policies, operations and strategic direction with its members.

General Tan Sri Dato' Sri Panglima Mohd Azumi bin Mohamed (Retired), Chairman, Board of Directors, CyberSecurity Malaysia led CyberSecurity Malaysia delegates and delivered the opening speech.

During this meeting, CyberSecurity Malaysia was reappointed by APCERT members as the Chair of APCERT for the duration of 2021 - 2023. This shows the recognition and confidence of APCERT members in the role of CyberSecurity Malaysia.
