Malaysia Hosts Cyber Conference

Malaysia is currently hosting a cybersecurity conference for Organization of Islamic Conference member countries, according to a report in Bermana. The event is being heldĀ  in Rabat in collaboration with Morocco's Ministry of Industry, Trade and New Technologies and supported by the Islamic Development Bank.

The theme of the workshop is "Enhancing Capability for Better Security" and is targeted to OIC members in Africa. According to a statement by CyberSecurity Malaysia, 16 members countries have sent around 60 individuals to the conference.

"It also promotes joint research and development to deal with global cyberthreats and foster good relationship among members," CyberSecurity Malaysia's chief executive officer Lt Col (Rtd) Husin Jazri.
