Malaysia Cyber Security Honours 14 Best Information Security Companies, Individuals

KUALA LUMPUR, Fourteen of Malaysia's best information security companies and individuals were conferred the Malaysia Cyber Security Awards 2012.

In a statement Thursday, the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation said the awards were given for their significant achievements in best business practices, exceptional industry leadership and commitment to excellence and innovation during the past year.

Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Datuk Fadillah Yusof presented the awards at the ceremony held in conjunction with the Cyber Security Malaysia Awards, Conference and Exhibition 2012 (CSM-ACE) from Nov 6-7, it said.

The CSM-ACE 2012 is a leading forum for networking, strategic debate and knowledge sharing among local and regional information, communication and technology (ICT) practitioners and communities.

Cyber Security Malaysia's chairman, Gen (rtd) Tan Sri Mohd Azumi Mohamed, said the awards aimed to recognise Malaysia's top information security professionals and organisations for their outstanding performance and significant contributions to the growth of Malaysia's dynamic ICT industry.
